Ingredients:
2 pounds onions, sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs, such as rosemary, sage, thyme, etc.
Salt & pepper to taste
Preparation:
Toss onions in hot oil in skillet on medium heat until oil coats onions. Cover and cook 15 minutes, stirring often. Stir in herbs; season with salt and pepper. Cook uncovered on low-medium heat, stirring often, until onions are golden brown, about 10 minutes.
Makes about 2 cups.
